2007 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR: R. Lietz / P. Long / R. Narac, Winner, 24 Hours of Le Mans (1:18)
The 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans marked the 75th anniversary of the June Sports Car classic and the excitement and anticipation leading up to the race was as furious as ever.
At the front of the grid Peugeot, with it’s new diesel powered 908, was set to take on the mighty Audi R10. Aston Martin, who had chosen to forego a full season in the ALMS series in order to concentrate on Le Mans, was ready to take on the might of the Corvette Racing C6Rs and in GT2 legendary sports car rivals, Ferrari and Porsche were set to write another chapter in their long history of Le Mans duels.
And the end of the 24 hours the #76 Porsche 911 (997) GT3 RSR IMSA Performance Matmut Team of Patrick Long, Richard Lietz and Raymond Narac had captured the top tier of the podium with a 6-lap margin of victory to secure the top honors in the GT2 class.
